This fully restored first floor historic apartment is only a few steps from a wide variety of unique cafes, parks, and boutiques along South Grand Ave! This home is only one block south of beautiful Tower Grove Park and within walking distance to the popular Missouri Botanical Gardens; attractions that offer many events all year for every age!
This restored historic apartment is on the first floor of a two-unit building. It features a large open living space; providing a wonderful area to gather.
During the building's recent renovations we attempted to preserve as much of the historical integrity as possible, including restoring the original trim and refinishing the original hardwood floors throughout the apartment.
The primary bedroom has a California King size bed and the second bedroom has a Queen bed. There are two private entrances for this apartment. One reserved off-street parking space is provided at the back of the home. You also have an air mattress available for use in the common areas.
Outdoor areas: You can relax in the backyard while you grill, share a meal, or build a fire in the fire-pit, or sit on the front porch and watch all the people walk by to South Grand Ave.
While the apartment is very close to S Grand, it is far enough away that you will have peace and quiet inside the apartment.
You will have private access to the entire apartment, as well as the shared large rear brick patio including the picnic table, firepit, and charcoal BBQ grill.

Located in Tower Grove South neighborhood, this building is in one of the most desirable and walkable areas in St Louis! It is one block from Tower Grove Park and only one mile from the famed Missouri Botanical Gardens. Dozens of restaurants, shops, and cafes along South Grand Ave are only steps away. This area is culturally rich with history and new rejuvenated, positive energy. Take a stroll along the tree lined residential streets and you will encounter all the friendly faces, parks, and beautiful buildings that make this neighborhood such a treasure.
Busch Stadium, The Fabulous Fox, St. Louis Zoo, City Museum, Aquarium, Arch, and the Magic House are all within a 10-15 min drive
The apartment is a few hundred feet from the South Grand Ave bus line and close to the Grand Metrolink stop (2 miles away). You will only have to take one bus to get to the Grand Metrolink station. From there, you can get Downtown (5 miles away), to the airport, or visit all the museums and attractions within Forest Park and the Central West End.
There are a multitude of attractions within walking distance. No need for a car! If you have one, there is one reserved off-street parking space available for free.
Noise Disclaimer: The ceiling between the two apartments is insulated. However, you will hear footsteps from time to time if the upstairs neighbors are walking around. We, and nearly all of our guests, have not found it to be an issue, but we want to make those who are very sensitive to noise aware of this. Normal sounds (conversation, TV, radio, etc) do not pose a problem. We also provide, ear plugs, white noise machines, and small floor fans in each bedroom for those who are very sensitive to noise.
We are conveniently located close to numerous Saint Louis attractions.
Most of our apartments are in historic multi-unit buildings. In order to ensure all of our guests have a peaceful stay, we have set quiet hours between 10:00pm-8:00am. We ask that all guests keep excessive noise to a minimum during these hours as noise can travel between the units.
Noise/party policy: Due to a handful of guests throwing parties and/or being excessively loud, we've had to enact a strict no-party/excessive noise policy that may include a fine. If parties are held or guests are excessively noisy, there may be a fine of up to $500 charged to the offending party. While we hate to be such sticklers and want to be as welcoming as possible, we have found this rule has greatly helped deter parties/excessive noise, and ensures everyone's quiet enjoyment of the space.
Additional guests may incur a fee of $25/guest.
Smoking is absolutely not allowed inside. $500 penalty will be charged to anyone who smokes inside or close enough to the house with a door or window open so that the house smells of smoke on the inside.
