Summary: Having a birthday in February is always tricky sometimes you get lucky and it lands during false spring other times you get another blast of winter . This was the case for my husbands 50 th birthday. We decided to make the most of it anyway .We did receive good communication from home owner in regards to possibly flooded roads and that we could check in early , which was nice . We found our way for the first time to RRG and found the cabin easy enough roads were not to bad yet but could definitely see where there could be issues with the continuation of the storm. Cabin was clean and cozy and we settled in for the night with the storm raging . Woke up the next day to a flooded meadow and road . Home owner was good about communicating what was going on as far as flooding and the on coming snow and ice and what driving conditions we may have getting out the next day . They were very accommodating and informative letting us know that if we needed extra time the next morning for check out to let it thaw we could do that . Over all the cabin was just want we needed space wise and although we could not use the roof top deck it sure would be lovely during good weather.The spa was nice and we did get to use that when the weather calmed a little with just a little snow coming down .Only a few things could be added like comfier furniture, since we were confined to inside a nice napping/tv watching couch would have been good .Bedside lighting would be helpful.We would stay again.
