Springwood Cottages, Is a four season cottage resort located in the picturesque Land O' Lakes region in southern Ontario on the southern most tip of the Canadian Shield. This affordable cottage resort is nestled beneath towering pines and situated along the shimmering shore of big, beautiful Kennebec Lake. This spectacular lake offers 19 miles of excellent fishing and boating as well as amazing views of rock formations and stunning sunsets. There are various locations around the Springwood property that are perfect for sports and activities. These activity areas were put in place to give our guests a place to have their outdoor sports and activities. Play soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, badminton or whatever you desire. These areas are also great places for family picnics, group gatherings, special events etc... We take pride in keeping Springwood Cottages property in top condition. The lawn and flower beds are regularly maintained and the grounds are cleaned daily. All we ask, is that when you use these area and other areas around Springwood Cabins, please leave the area the way you found it. We would like to thank all the guests from the past and all future guests for respecting our property and keeping it clean. If you did not bring outdoor activity items, such as badminton equipment, balls, frisbees, croquet sets or anything.... let us know and we will do our best to provide you with everything you need for an enjoyable and entertaining stay. Located on the shores of Kennebec Lake, Springwood Cottages features 1,000 feet of shoreline, with a beautiful shallow sand beach, nestled within one of the many bays of the lake. Kennebec Lake is known to have very clean water, so when you and your children go swimming in Kennebec Lake, you can be comfortable knowing the waters provide a safe and refreshing experience. One of the best features of the Springwood Cottages beach, is the shallow waters. If you look in the picture below, you will see a rock island on the left side; at that point the water is less than 2 feet deep. Having the shallow water is great for monitoring children and keeping the beach, that much more safe. We placed a floating raft out in the deeper waters, for those individuals who enjoy jumping into the deeper areas. You can see the floating raft if you look closely at the right edge of the beach umbrella. Our beach offers tons of soft, clean sand that is perfect for building sand structures, playing volleyball, jogging, body burying, and more. As a matter of fact, we have many sand castle contests throughout the summer. Here are a few photos of one of our latest sand castle contests. More pictures available in our picture galleries.
