Set in the delightful North Devon village of Mortehoe, 5 minutes for the small seaside town of Woolacombe, Spring Cottage has been recently renovated and offers comfortable and surprisingly spacious accommodation for up to 8 people. With amazing sea views from the back of the cottage, there are 5 bedrooms spread over 2 floors with bathroom facilities on each floor, a sitting room, separate dining room and kitchen with separate utility area and downstairs cloakroom. There is a small private garden with a decked area ideal for alfresco dining and BBQ-ing, accessed from both the kitchen and the sitting room. There is good WiFi and access to Netflix. The cottage has parking for one car but there is facility for further parking in the village, 2 minutes walk away, with visitors able to purchase a weekly voucher that will also enable parking in various other car parks in local towns. Within the village of Mortehoe there are 2 excellent pubs, one of which serves good, hearty breakfasts, 2 well stocked shops and, if you want a break from cooking, there are 2 takeaways offering fresh fish and chips and a variety of home-made dishes. The cottage is set in an elevated position overlooking a National Trust headland which offers extensive walking, including the North Devon Coastal Path, and fabulous sea views across to South Wales and Lundy Island. Woolacombe has an expansive sandy beach with numerous rock pools to investigate. There are a variety of water sports offered including surfing, here and in nearby Croyde. Exmoor National Park and the port town of Barnstaple are a half hour drive, together with many other places of interest within easy reach. Locally there is ice- and roller-skating, cinemas, bowling and much more.
