~ PROPERTY ~
Wonderview is a beautiful property that is well cared for and loved by our family. New paint inside and outside during the 2020-2021 off-season makes the house feels fresh and new. We wish for our guests to be as comfortable as possible and feel at home.
We offer luxury, all cotton linens and two pillows per sleeper on all the beds. You will find fluffy, white cotton towels and Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash in each full bath.
Wonderview comfortably sleeps 8 guest with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.
~ ADVENTURE ~
Rent a boat at the local marina and moor it overnight on your own dock. Explore, fish and float in the 3000 acre mountain lake. Paddle to the near coves in one of our three kayaks. Challenge the kids to ping pong and friends to a game of pool. With over 200 miles of hiking trails, several leading to waterfalls, and 29 miles of the Appalachian Trail, being at one with nature is easy. If you're lucky you may even spot our local bald eagle's nest. Drive the Cherohala Skyway and hike Cheoah Bald which offers panoramic views of western North Carolina.

Two-thirds of the county is National Forest. It is the home of Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Slickrock Creek Wilderness Area, Snowbird Backcountry Area, Nantahala National Forest, and borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Santeetlah Lake is formed by the Santeetlah Dam across the Cheoah River. You can see the dam from Wonderview. Lake Santeetlah makes its way into numerous picturesque coves and inlets. Most of the shoreline is undeveloped and part of the Nantahala National Forest.
