It was purchased in March, 2019; a real "diamond in the rough ". Only the tile floor and kitchen counter-top were safe from our extensive remodel ! Brand new appliances were installed and interior was professionally remodeled by one of Treasure's top contractors. Many of the furnishings and furniture were shipped from a condo we sold in Charleston, SC. Staying here is like having a pool in your backyard; it is less than 10 yards away. You don't have to leave the condo to keep an eye on the kids; just watch them from the comfort of our wicker lounge set. Don't want to spend a fortune eating out ? No problem. We(that would be my husband) love to cook. In addition to the expected glasses ,plates, and flatware , we have an extensive collection of cookware, bakeware, and utensils . Did I mention there is also a slow-cooker and Belgian waffle-maker ? For the grillmasters , we have a Weber gas grill on the patio . There are so many fun-filled activities it is difficult to list all of them . For starters, there is a big, new world available by boat : bring your own; rent one; or, use one of the many tour companies . Fishing in Abacos is awesome, either deep-sea trolling or bottom-fishing. To capture life under the waves there is snorkeling, diving, and pole-spearing for fish and lobster(when in season). As awesome as Treasure is, we also recommend island-hopping, if your budget permits. Green Turtle and Great Guana are 15 minutes away; Elbow Cay/Hopetown a little farther . Groceries in Abacos are expensive; so, shop wisely . If you fly into Marsh Harbor load up at Maxwell's; they have the best prices . Treasure also has a very good grocery just a few blocks from the condo. Or, better yet, bring as much groceries as you can; we do. Check customs laws for compliance. We always leave food in original packaging and have never had a single problem. You have to frequent Flo's; everybody does . Her cinnamon buns are to die for . For lunch/dinner, try the grouper fingers. Treasure Cay also has one of the top 10 beaches in the world . The sand is more like flour than the crushed rock we are used to back home . Bahamas Beach Club is free to the public and offers a pool and dining. Highly recommend it ! Condo rental comes with boat slip . However, if you are bringing a boat, please send an inquiry before booking. Our slip has a boat lift , which may not accommodate certain larger boats, depending upon beam and draft. However, we are often able to place you in a neighbor's slip . For large boats call the marina, 242-365-8250 . If you need to rent one ,we recommend Treasure Boat Rentals, 242-366-0635 . A car is not necessary ; but, a golf cart is a great way to get around. Our first choice is Windell's, 242-365-8687 . Plan B is Cash's , 242-365-8771 .
