Positive: Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen facilities were up to date. Living room, dining area, bedroom are indeed adequate. Air conditioning and fans worked well. Parking was not a problem. Overall, the rental served our purposes for a short stay in La Mesa.
Negative: No extra touches to welcome guests. Other than the door code, no instructions for anything (TV, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, air conditioning, etc.). Many small things need attention. In the apartment only the bathroom has a mirror. Towel rack loose on the wall. Only towels; no wash cloths. Shower curtain off the hooks. No grab bar in shower. No reading lights by the bed. No dish drainer by the kitchen sink (didn't wish to use the dishwasher). No dish cloth or kitchen towel. The location is more commercial than residential. WiFi code not available for several days. Communication with the host, although courteous, was sporadic (this may have been the fault of Booking.com ... not the host).
Summary: An adequate rental that needs attention to details.
