Summary: The host met us at the house and provided a tour of the house and grounds. She was responsive and answered to our questions, and offered advice on places to visit. The beauty of the surrounding (the flora and fauna) which is typical of Guadeloupe speaks for itself, and is so i will not dwell on it, because a couple of sentences would not make it justice. Fantastic! The house has many conveniences including an automatic gate, AC in the downstairs bedrooms. All basic toiletries, and a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools for even a complex meal. There was complementary bottle of water and soda in the fridge along with chocolates. One of the best treats the bowls of sweet and succulent oranges on many of the outside tables. The WiFi was consistent and fast, and the house has cable TV (in French of course). The pool was well maintained and needed no extra care to enjoy. The pool shower was also great for rinsing sand off after our many beach trips. One beach was down the road (3 min drive; 15 min walk), and the other that we frequented most (and one of the most beautiful) is Grande Anse, less than 20 min by car. An artisanal bakery was a short walk away, where we got baguettes and other pastries every morning.
