The property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood just 5 minutes walk from Prestwich Clough which is a 24 acre ancient woodland. The property is also just a 10 minute walk from St Mary’s Park where you will find a children’s playground, tennis courts and basketball courts as well as space to play football. Across the road is the beautiful St Mary’s Flower Park. Heaton Park, Europe’s largest municipal park, is just a 5 minute drive away. For those Coronation Street fans, several weddings and funerals have been filmed at the local church, St Mary’s.
There are many supermarkets just a five minute drive from the property including Aldi, Marks and Spencer, Iceland, Tesco and Lidl. Village Greens is an excellent and friendly organic supermarket in the heart of Prestwich Village which I can highly recommend.
There are many great cafés, restaurants and bars in Prestwich including TGI Fridays, Croma, Panama Hatty’s and Costa as well as many superb independent ones including Osma, All the shapes and Cuckoo to name but a few. There are also many take aways in Prestwich that offer a delivery service and several just round the corner from the property. There is brilliant yoga studio, Creative Calm, just a 10 minute walk from the property.
There are also many fantastic cafés, bars and restaurants in Whitefield which is just a 10 minute drive from the property including the award winning Patissier & Chocolatiers, Slattery and the lovely Italian Cafe and Deli, Roma.
The space
The property has been recently renovated and has lots of charm and character. It is bright and spacious with high ceilings, original features and big windows.
All the beds, mattresses, bedding, towels, crockery, cutlery etc are brand new. In addition the property has recently been fitted with a new boiler.
Kitchen
The kitchen is well stocked. Large fridge freezer and oven. There's also a separate combination microwave/oven/grill. There's also a washer dryer and washing powder and softer available if you have any laundry. There's a lovely sunny bay window in the kitchen overlooking the garden with a table and chairs where you can enjoy your morning coffee/tea.
Lounge
Very comfy sofa and two large armchairs so plenty of seating. TV - Netflix is available for guests.
Dining Room
Leading on from the lounge is the dining room with a large dining table and 4 chairs with the ability to extend the table if necessary. Lovely views of the garden from this room.
Master Bedroom
Lovely spacious bedroom with king size bed. High quality mattress, pillows and duvet in addition to blackout curtains to guarantee a fantastic night’s sleep. Plenty of storage including a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table with drawers.
Second Bedroom
Another spacious room with two single beds. High quality mattress, pillows and duvet in addition to blackout curtains. Plenty of storage including a large wardrobe and bedside table.
Third Bedroom
Another decent size room with a bunk bed suitable for adults and children. Please note there is a weight restriction of 85kgs for each bunk. High quality mattresses, pillows and duvet and black out curtains. Chest of drawers for storage.
Bathroom
Newly installed bathroom. Bath and shower over bath with shower screen. Large mirror and great lighting so great space to get ready in or to enjoy a relaxing bath after a long day.
Garden
Lovely garden with patio at the back and decking round the side of the property. The cabin in the garden is not for use by guests.
Getting around
Excellent transport links. The property is just an 18 minute walk from Prestwich tram stop. It is just a 20 minute tram journey into Manchester city centre. Alternatively, there is a bus stop two minutes walk from the property where you can catch a bus into Manchester which takes 25 minutes. The city centre is just a 20 minute drive from the property and we can recommend some manned car parks near the AO arena which cost just £4 per day. The property itself has off road parking for one car but there is also free on street parking outside the property.
The property is just a 5 minute drive from the M60 where you can then easily access Bolton, Trafford Park, Bury and Liverpool to name but a few. Salford Quays/media city is just an 18 minute drive from the property.
For those happy to travel a bit further, the property provides an excellent base for travelling to the beautiful Lake District which is just 1.5 hours away, the Peak district which is an hour away and the Yorkshire Dales which is just 1 hour and 15 minutes away.
