Somewhere in Time pays tribute to the elegance and grace of an earlier era. This grand home bids guests to come in, relax and enjoy the comfort of this Victorian beauty. Located 4 miles north of Lake George, this lovely home is nestled on four acres of lush, manicured grounds with formal garden and Fountain.You'll find yourself able to relax with a good book, cozy up by a crackling fire, or play a game of billiards. Spend the day antiquing, shopping, or exploring everything the beautiful Adirondack and Lake George region has to offer. Night life in the village is awesome and the dining is wonderful! Six elegant and spacious bedrooms are decorated in period furnishings, and encourage you to leave the world behind. There are 4.5 baths (3 attached to bedrooms), a billiard room, dining room, music room and four fireplaces. You will find warmth and comfort as if it was your own home!! Two great porches to enjoy the fresh air and a fire pit in back!! Plenty of games for inside and outside use! The home was built in 1870 and has been owned by a N.Y. Senator and a Judge. It Served as the home of 'The Lake George Opera'. The property has a new owner as of Sept. 2010 and many improvements have been made since then. The home is very quiet and comfortable and makes for a great family get together!! The grounds have been used for many of weddings over the years and we hope for many more in the future. This Lake George Mansion has also been used as a 'Show House' for many of years as well. This property also has a Carriage house that can sleep up to 14 people and is available for rent along with the Mansion making it the largest single family rental in the Lake George area, sleeping 25+ people. It features a Formal Garden for Relaxing and taking in the Fresh Air of the Great Adirondacks, enjoying a good book or just enjoying the family and surroundings. It also has a pavilion if you choose to have a Band, Presentation or event outside. There is a Small fire pit out in the back and Furniture for sitting around and cooking marshmallows The Lake: There is a sitting area across the street that you are welcome to use. Lake George is one of gods greatest creations; 35 miles long and 3 miles wide, surrounded by mountains. There are many things to do on the water and local rentals available for almost any activity you can think of.
