Our cabin on the creek features native stone, cedar, 2 covered porches & a massive deck reaching toward the Sylamore Creek. One of the best fishing & swimming holes is directly out the front door! Three stories, each with its own deck, permit privacy to soak in the sounds of the hills. ~5 miles to downtown to catch talented folk musicians on the square, head up to the famous Blanchard Springs Caverns & Ozark-St. Francis Forest for hiking/biking, or to Big Flat, AR for our award-winning brewery. Enjoy it! We also have a beautiful native stone master bedroom which opens out onto an expansive deck with porch swing. You'll find a native stone shower with gorgeous, fragrant cedar in the bathroom. Easy parking. Loft area can sleep up to 6. Master bedroom can sleep up to 3. Four guests are the max with an additional fee after the fourth. Pets are welcome ($45 pet fee). We have two doggy beds & one crate. We also have one child gate. Interaction with guests I am in & out of town, but strive to be there to greet you & introduce you to the cabin with its amenities. I easily accessed via phone, text, and email. The neighborhood The community, location & the creek! You cannot beat this. Just ask any local. We truly have one of the primo spots in all of Stone County! Getting around We live on a gravel road. Be sure you are prepared for that. The hill coming into our community from any of the three accesses off Highway 87 or Highway 66 is steep. Downshifting allows you to take it easy on your brakes, but be aware that you can not avoid the gravel. We love it! Other things to note Please remember we are on a septic system. Do not overload it with excessive toilet paper & place any feminine products in the trash bin. No smoking No parties or events Check in is anytime after 4PM - My sister & I consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have been able to realize our dream of a home in Mountain View. Our family is from the area, & our grandparents once played music on the downtown square. Our little community on the creek is precious & many are older. Please be conscientious of our neighbors near the road you access to reach our driveway, & our neighbors on the other side of the creek whom you may not be able to actually see if the vegetation is in full bloom. - I am a water scientist & my sister is a chief in the Coast Guard, both single moms. We value the Ozark waterways & strive to preserve them for generations to come. Please practice a "leave no trace" motto while on the creek, as well as in the forest & natural areas. We are very thankful to you for keeping this area pristine. We also want you to have a sanctuary frequently to return. - Please leave any used bed unmade & used towels hanging in the bathroom. Remove trash upon departure (see House Manual). If you have chosen to recycle (thank you) the nearest recycling center is on highway 5 between Alison & Mountain View (Stone County Recycle), before you reach Angler's Restaurant (the only place in Stone County with a wine & liquor license). Be sure to lock up, close the curtains & such, turn off all lights except the back porch light (please leave it on for the next person), unplug appliances, wash dishes & put them away. Basically, try to leave our home the way you found it. - We love animals! I am deathly allergic to cats, so if you must travel with your cat, I do understand, but please don't allow it indoors. Sorry! Otherwise, we offer doggy beds. Feel free to locate them wherever your pet is comfortable. Do not allow your pet on the furniture. If your pet is like ours, & that is an impossibility, then please use the extra sheets found in the drawers under the bed in the loft to put on the furniture for them to enjoy while preserving our furniture. There is a $45 pet fee to be paid via PayPal, unless other arrangements have been made. - Please, please do not smoke. My daughter & I are asthmatics. - Please enjoy yourselves! Get out! Hike! Bike! Discover why! - Please observe quiet hours on the creek after 10PM. Must climb stairs - You may enter the main level from the driveway without climbing stairs, but to access the bathroom, you'll need to descend narrow, steep stairs.
