Beautiful log home set on a peaceful Sleepy Hollow Lake. Built with over 3000 sf of living space and comfortably furnished, overlooking the quiet 7 acre lake. Rec room in walk-out basement, large loft. Lake view from most places in the home - VERY relaxing.

Not only conveniently located to the DC area via fully paved roads, it is centrally located to many of the West Virginia panhandle's premiere attractions including the Woods Resort Golfing and Spa (5 minutes away!), Charlestown WV (gambling), C&O Canal, Potomac River, Sleepy Creek Forest Reserve with 200 Acre lake and Hunting grounds, Antietem MD (Civil War battlefield), Golfing and horseback riding at Cacapon. 25 minutes from Berkeley Springs WV, 39 miles to Harper's Ferry and 30 minutes to shopping at the prime outlets of Hagerstown MD. We are also only 35 miles to Pennsylvania's White Tail Ski Resort!!
Join us during any of the wonderful seasons! Hiking, biking, rafting, canoeing and tubing can be done on the Potomac River or along the C&O Canal. Many organized excursions are based in historic Harper's Ferry, WV. or you could simply drive 35 minutes to Sleepy Creek Forest Reserve which touts a 200 acre lake (4x4 recommended), great bass fishing as well as being located right ON the Appalacian Trail! In fall/winter cozy up next to our automated 48' gas fireplace
Horseback riding at Cacapon National Park could be included in a day trip to Berkeley Springs. Shop at historic Berkeley Springs or relax in their hot mineral springs. There is an old fashioned movie theatre with Bijou shows friday and saturday nights as well as seasonal events year-round in town center.

Summary: Beautiful large home with lovely cabin decor and a very nice view, loved the hot tub, the guys enjoyed playing pool. Great communication with the owner! She was extremely accommodating! The outdoor furniture and porch were extremely dirty- would have enjoyed using the porch swing. The kitchen was a bit dirty, especially the dusty light shades. Guests before us left dirty dishes in the dishwasher. We were surprised at the poor condition of the kitchen equipment like pots and pans. Having to wash, dry, fold, and put away all the towels seemed like something we should not have had to do.
