Summary: The property is just as described. It was fully stocked with everything you would need for a weekend or month long stay. The furniture is kitschy, but understandable for a mountain lodge. The place was very clean, with the exception of the coffee makers. There is a fishing pond and dock with kayaks available. Several paths to wander on the 46 acre property. I enjoyed taking my dogs out for daily walks and picking wildflowers while the guys fished in the pond. Just sunnies and cat fish. Strictly catch and release, but still fun and relaxing. It’s only 11 minutes into the town of Watkins Glen where there are several restaurants and bars. It’s a sleepy town, extremely casual, don’t look for fine dining or you will be disappointed. Many state parks to discover, most of which allow dogs. We only stayed 4 nights, but wished we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.
