Quick drive to Bethel, Sunday River, the Whites, and some of Maine's best swimming holes. This clean and modern cabin is nestled at the base of Mount Abram ski area just 300 feet from the Westside lodge and mountain bike park! Tastefully decorated, open/airy, with tech convenience. Just minutes from swimming and fishing at North, South & Bryant Ponds. Only 15 minutes to Sunday River and Maine's #1 golf course. Outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking "R & R" will not be disappointed. This house is literally 300 feet from the Westside ski lodge. In the summer, jump on your bike and be on the trails within minutes. Pick blueberries on the mountain during peak season to your hearts content. During the winter, put your ski gear on at the house, walk across the street, and be on the lift in less than 5 minutes! The backyard is large and grassy with a firepit (firewood provided) and cornhole. Great location for kids to run around or let them jump on their bikes and ride around the dirt roads neighborhood. Enjoy grilling on the Weber Genesis while lounging on the front deck. Hang out around the firepit at night and enjoy the stars. You've never seen a night sky like this!! Inside, you'll find hardwood floors and knotty pine walls. You have access to high-speed internet, two Samsung HD Smart TV's with Netflix & Amazon, and a Sonos Play:3. The two heating zones are each controlled by a NEST E thermostat. Throughout the home there are six wired NEST Protect smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detectors. There are three 5 lb. fire extinguishers in the house, one easily accessible on each floor. A gas fireplace in the living room is wonderful on cooler nights. When it's warm, open the windows and hear nothing but nature. No traffic or loud noises, just peace and quiet. All combined this is a very clean, comfortable, efficient, and safe home to bring your family and friends. *A note regarding the A/C.....Like many Maine homes, we do not have central air in the cabin; however, new window units are installed on both floors to keep the home comfortable during the summer. There are also ceiling fans in all bedrooms, which help to circulate the air. We live within walking distance from the house and unless we are away, are available anytime. Our goal is to give you plenty of space and to reassure you that we are available whenever you need us. We have provided a guest "guidebook" with everything you need to know about the house and the surrounding area. All of our favorite local restaurants, grocery stores, shops, hiking trails, summer activities, and winter activities are included.
