Positive: The keys were not able to be found as the instructions were lacking. There was talk of a lockbox and bringing it inside but the lockbox wasn't near the front door but down the street in front of another building and attached to a bicycle rack. It wasn't at all clear how to take the lock box off the bicycle rack but the phone contact told me that I had to move a lever inside the lock box...that was not given in the email information provided. There was a link to a manual but when I went there it wasn't clear where the key information was. Photos of the lockbox, the location and the lever inside would have helped a lot. I think the owner knows what the lockbox looks like and assumes everyone else knows this too. Also was given two different codes to unlock the box....and there were two different street numbers so I wasn't even sure which building it was.
Negative: There is no air conditioning. The room is hot. Even with outside being quite cool....necessitating wearing my coat...inside it was uncomfortable. There is only a fan and its noisy. I woke up during the night sweating, it was that hot. You have to bag up your rubbish and take out....this isn't included in their clean. There was mention of a rubbish chute in the hallway but nothing there....carried downstairs to the rubbish room on the ground floor....hard to get through the doors to the bin and really smelly and unpleasant in there. You can smell the rubbish when taking the lift and its pretty unpleasant. Instruction to leave the keys in the cutlery drawer....this is unsanitary....no wipes to clean the keys so keys that have been handled by lots of people and lugged all around the city being left with the cutlery where people are going to be eating with the utensils is just a terrible idea. And unnecessary. Whole unit a bit tired but clean. Shower too small....can't turn around without bumping things. Milk in the fridge those little capsules....opened one and it was crusty inside....definitely out of date. Tea selection is poor....just english breakfast and no other choices. Very cheap tea and not very nice.
Summary: Ok but disappointing. The lack of air conditioning is a deal breaker for any future visits.
