This is “The Siesta Dreams”, a Gertrude Rentals property. Spacious, Fully Renovated, Ocean View Penthouse Apartment in the World Famous Siesta Key Village. You will lounge, dine and drink while you soak in sea breezes, ocean views (partial), and the worlds best sunsets. Rooftop-sundeck, private beach path, balcony dining, huge living room, and all of it Westerly facing. Just 60 steps from Siesta Keys world famous beach. Just 1 block to the best shopping, dining, and entertainment in the Village. It's the best unit in the building and sure to provide a combination of luxury and island-living you can't get in other getaways. For larger groups, ask about additional accommodations.
The Location - This will be “easy” just like vacations are supposed to be. Located on the highly coveted West side of Beach Rd. It's about 60 steps on a shell road to the beach path and just a one-block walk to all the best of the Siesta Village - fresh oysters, seafood, tropical drinks, ice cream, entertainment, and even gourmet donuts. The rooftop has views of Siesta Beach and the Gulf of Mexico with chaise loungers and al fresco dining. It's just right for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, good book, cocktail(s), or an al-fresco meal. The beaches here are the widest on the island, have panoramic views of the gulf to the North-West-and-South, and are the top spot in North America for viewing sunsets. The water is shallow clear and calm with white quartz-sand tide-pools perfect for sleeping drinking or playing. You can swim or “often” wade to Sand Dollar Island, a naturally occurring white sand cay popular with dolphin's sand-dollars and “occasionally” giant-conch. This is the only spot on Siesta where you can go from the water to lunch or dinner and back to the sand without putting on your shirt and shoes.
History – This property backs up to Tenacity Lane where Betty Boardman Kruse, our good friend's grandmother once lived. Betty won control of this beachfront Siesta Key neighborhood after a much publicized 7-year fight with a rival. That year the Sarasota Herald Tribune published an article about her victory headlined “Tenacity Wins!” and Betty named the street after it.
Beach Gear - Correction for Air-b-n-b listings. We provide beach towels and beach chairs at every location, umbrellas and carts at most locations, and do not provide "snorkeling gear" at any locations. Sorry for the confusion. Snorkelling gear can be rented or purchased nearby.
