Relax & enjoy in our totally remodeled cozy cottage with walk in beach frontage to Shooting Creek. Fun for the whole family try your luck at fishing while the kids splash & float around in the creek. Lake Chatuge and Jack Rabbit Trails are less than 10 minutes away by car. We do not provide Kayaks but they can be rented by link below. Centrally located and close to the most popular area destinations and activities with easy accessibility, no steep mountain roads to traverse just 20 minutes from town.
Use the cottage as a base for all your outdoor adventures or just relax hanging by the creek. The property features big creek frontage, small pond / fire pit area, and large yard to play a friendly game of corn hole. The cottage is comfortably appointed with all the modern conveniences. Take in your morning with coffee on the back porch watching the creek go by. Spend your evenings around a campfire making s'mores. On those rainy days there's a 42" Smart TV. Enjoy all our area has to offer breweries, wineries, and great restaurants. Close to the Appalachian Trail there's lots of outdoor fun including white water rafting and zip-lining in the Nantahala Gorge !

Need more room for guests, there is a second vacation rental on this property. Creek-Side Guest House is like a tiny house for 2 guests to enjoy with all the same amenities as a regular home. We've gone to great lengths to provide privacy and specific parking spaces for each place, it is a shared driveway to come and go. We do ask that during your stay that you use only the property that you have rented.
We have always had High Standards for cleaning and have further enhanced them in conjunction with the CDC’s Recommended Protocols. All of the cleaning fee is paid to our excellent cleaning and maintenance staff.

The Space:
The open floor plan providing spectacular views for all living areas. Plenty of comfy seating in main living area. The main bedroom and well-appointed with a new king size bed that feels like you are in your own private tree house with a newly remodeled bathroom. Main bedroom has seating area with additional TV and a bonus room off the back of it for extra guests or kids play room. The second bedroom on the main floor has a new comfy queen bed. The third bed & forth bed are 2 daybeds (twin) in bonus room off the main bedroom. This area doubles as a reading nook or just a place to relax. Main floor bathroom is newly remolded. Hand, bath, & dish soap, garbage bags and laundry soaps are provided. A starter pack of paper towels and toilet paper are provided.
If you enjoy cooking then the newly remodeled kitchen should provide you with all the tools and kitchen gadgetry necessary to create about any gourmet meal you desire. Granite counter-tops, new appliances and large work area.
The dining room table can seat 6 people.

House Rules.
Our little cottage is well loved, please treat it with the same respect.
Number of guest must match reservation.
Parking: In front of cottage there are 2 designated parking spaces for Shooting Creek Cottage. Do not park in space designated for Creek-side Guest House or block turn around area.
No parties or events. You will be asked to leave without refund if violated.
No smoking in house.
Smoking is permitted on porch.
No burning candles, fire arms or fireworks to be fired on property.
We do provide firewood, not Firestarter. We ask that you ONLY use your fair share of wood (3 to 4 logs per night).
Pets:
Dogs and must be non-shedding or low shedding breads. There will be a pet fee of $100 per stay 1 small to medium size dog maximum. They must be up to date with flea / tick prevention and well groomed. No puppies please or cats. Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture out of respect to other guests. Failure to comply could result in a loss of damage deposit. We ask that you provide their own beds and crate if necessary. Towels provided are NOT for use on pets. We ask that if they suffer from any separation anxiety or from the fear of thunder-storms that they be crated if left alone. Or that they not be left alone for their own protection and to avoid potential damage to cottage. It is your responsibility to pick up after them around the cottage, we have provided a scooper. As long as you can adhere to our house rules regarding pets and they are house broken they are welcome. Without your cooperation we would not be able to continue to allow pets. We own pets and empathize that they are a member of your family. Thank you in advance for compiling with our house rules for our furry guests.
Quite hours from 10:00pm to 7:00am
Check-in is 3:00PM and checkout 11:00 We ask for your cooperation in this matter because at times we have people checking in and out on the same days. Thank you in advance.
At the end of your stay leave all bagged trash in the large trash cans provided on porch. Load & start the dish washer. Place bed linens in laundry hamper provided and towels in there own hamper. Check all drawers and under all beds and furniture for personal effects. Take food from refrigerator. Lock any windows that where opened during your stay. Turn latch on front door to locked position when leaving.
Cancellation Policy: In the event a guest has to cancel on short notice we would make every effort to re-book and refund money.
The Creek
Please treat this ecological environment with respect. Do not throw trash or food into the creek, wild life live there! Collect trash to be disposed in trash cans at cottage. This is a swim at your own risk creek. There are fish in the creek, trout & bass. There are also other aquatic life such as frogs, salamanders, turtles, and other reptiles. Keep an eye out in warmer months! Fishing is allowed and encouraged. We strongly suggest guest use personal flotation devices if swimming or floating in creek. Please stay clear of the swift current when creek is high!
