The cabin features a 3-season room which allows you to enjoy the outdoors with out the bugs. Although Shoop's does not have dock access , there is a public boat launch which makes it easy to get on the water. You are able to take the kayaks right from the house.
Enjoy easy access to a sandy, child-friendly public beach just one house away, complete with picnic areas and a large swing set/playground. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the provided double kayak, two single kayaks, and nearby biking trails. Summary: The problems started before I got there, as the map I was sent was not correct, having me turn after going past the place to a road that did not connect with the property. The outside lockbox was extremely difficult to open, requiring numerous tries over the course of at least 15 minutes to open it. I'm glad it wasn't at night or raining. The next morning was cold but I could find the thermostat to turn on the furnace. Once I located it and peeled off the masking tape from the last time it was painted, the furnace would not start. I removed the panels and followed the directions but for turning it on and starting it, with no luck. I notified the property manager via voicemail and eventually found two electric space heaters. he called back an hour or so later and told me the furnace didn't work and that there were two space heaters as well as some blankets in a closet. The wifi worked fine but the wifi televisions did not. Many of the channels that were displayed never became available while I was there, and the few that did were sporadic. On the positive side, the neighbors were nice, as was the beach.
