Positive: Location, layout, newer washer/dryer, ping pong table, large table for meals/games, large back deck area
Negative: Rental seemed adequately clean upon arrival, however we quickly discovered significant housekeeping issues. The downstairs bedroom carpets were very stained and dirty and there was pet hair over the couch. We then discovered at 10pm the first night the downstairs non master bed had not been cleaned from previous guests. The bed had human and dog hair all in it and was not useable for the night. We then discovered towels soaking wet in the washer left from previous guests when putting the sheets in the washer. The rental company offered to come remake the bed the next day but we declined as we didn’t want the inconvenience of housekeeping coming in and out. Later in our stay we dug out previous guests undergarments lodged in the dryer vent when the dryer screen would not stay in while running. My middle school aged daughter found an empty beer bottle under the nightstand in her room. The hot tub lid is so water logged it was hard to lift open. It has to be tied in place with a rope that sits in the tub water when not in use. Kids and older adults had trouble using it without help and you have to be in the tub to close the lid. This was very inconvenient whenever the people using it were not able to close it themselves. We have stayed at many rentals in Sunriver. We expect older rentals with some quirks, but the housekeeping in this one was subpar. We can deal with outlets that don’t work, worn furniture and some cobwebs in the rafters. Basic attention to clean sheets, checking appliances and not cleaning under furniture to the point empty alcohol bottles are not cleaned up is not acceptable.
