Scooters' Hideaway offers authentic South Nags Head charm with wonderful updates and the beach is just steps away on a quiet, private street. Sectional seating in the main living area and a large flat screen TV . Soak in the ground-level hot tub or relax on the deck. There is plenty of sleeping with 3 queens and 2 twins and each room has its own TV. Even the ground level is inviting with furniture, a grill, a private outdoor shower, and corn hole for a relaxing place to hang out when you're not enjoying the nearby beach. There is a multi-use path for biking, walking or riding and residential only zoning affords a peaceful place to hideaway at Scooters!
South Nags Head is arguably the best location on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. It is a totally residential area enveloped by the Cape Hatteras National Seashore yet is only minutes from a variety of retail and recreational outlets (Jennette's Pier, Tanger Outlet Mall, many restaurants). Families will find the quiet, low-traffic and non-commercial atmosphere relaxing yet appreciate how easy it is to drive to the grocery store, restaurants, the movie theater, or a putt-putt course. The large multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length and is great for running, biking, or walking. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is a full service marina with boat ramps and is just a couple of miles south of Scooter's Hideaway if you need a convenient location for offshore or inshore boating and fishing.

Summary: We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the hot tub. The house was comfy but had an issue with bugs and could have been cleaner (shower drains full of hair). Overall we had a great time and were glad we could bring our dogs!
