Unique getaway in Yonahlossee Saddle Club, with end of road privacy, wood fireplace, AC, and piano, and walk down to the intimate dock over the pond! Peaceful setting yet just minutes to downtown Boone, ASU or Blowing Rock. This three bedroom sleeps up to six with one king, one queen and two twins.
Offering a peaceful retreat within Yonahlossee Saddle Club, Secretariat's Secret is a great addition, where guests enjoy the same great location with the privacy and amenities of a single family home. This home features a large wall of windows in the main living area, so it is easy to enjoy the beautiful setting whether you are relaxing on the couch, around the dining table, or reading in the loft. Rhododendron and other natives ensure a lush atmosphere and the occasional visit from passing deer and turkeys. Follow the path down to an intimate dock over the pond, and enjoy watching the mist rise over the water, and the large Koi passing by. Towards the pond is a fire pit for roasting s'mores!
The living room is inviting, with floor to ceiling stone fireplace that is perfect for chilly winter evenings. Comfortable seating is great for time catching up with each other, or just to curl up with a good novel. Guests can even tickle the ivories on the Boston Piano! The chef in your group will enjoy the modern kitchen, and there is seating around the dining table as well as at the unique wood slab counter.
On the main level, the master bedroom features a king bed with new Eurotop Orthopedic mattress, and private bath with a large, jetted tub plus a separate walk-in shower. For additional privacy, there is also a powder room on this level. Upstairs, the second bedroom features a queen bed, and there is a daybed and single twin mattress in the third bedroom. There is an additional full bath on this level, as well as the loft area with desk space just in case anyone needs to get in a little work, or homework, while here.
The large deck with hot tub overlooks the natural setting, and most of the year there is also a view of the pond below. Best of all, the location within Yonahlossee Saddle Club is convenient to most area attractions and events, and is a short drive back into downtown Boone for Appalachian State University events, or over to Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk for dining and shopping.
Larger groups enjoy renting several of our Yonahlossee Resort properties, keeping everyone close but allowing privacy as well. Within a very short drive of the cabin are wonderful resort amenities available to you and your family. Yonahlossee Resort features an indoor heated 25-yard lap pool, ping pong table, a newly renovated full fitness facility, a game room with ping-pong table, pool table, and foosball, and a wine and beer bar with fireplace, soft seating, sand shuffleboard, and darts. Information is inside the property for accessing these facilities. Please note that if you would like to play tennis at the Resort, you must pay the $10/hour fee.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The driveway is plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!
- This property is dog friendly for mature, well-trained dogs under 40lb. Max of 2 dogs. Pet fee is $25/nt per pet.
- Firewood may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided for you.
