Summer House West * 1988 West Beach Blvd.
Quiet condo located on the West end of Gulf Shores. Condo has both lagoon view and partial ocean view from your private balcony! Property has a boardwalk with deeded beach access to the gulf, just a short walk to the water.
This is a one bedroom, one and half bath unit located on the first level (up two flights of stairs). Tile floors throughout. The master bedroom has a king bed and an en suite master bath. Tons of closet space! The half bath is located in the hall. Brand new queen sofa sleeper in living room. Kitchen is stocked for all your basic cooking needs, including both a Keurig and regular coffee pot. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience.
The property also features a fishing dock with a cleaning station! Even if you aren’t a fisher, this is the perfect place to watch the gorgeous, colorful sunsets. There is also a covered patio table for picnics.
There is ONLY ONE dedicated parking space (no overflow parking on premises). Parking space is located directly under the unit.

Summary: Pluses: Very clean. Adequate furniture. bed very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked . Balcony good for lagoon view and had 4 chairs and a table. Partially covered parking good. Included small toiletries and extra toilet paper. priced well. Owner helpful and responded promptly. Our disappointments: -pictures of proximity to the beach and the pool were not accurate and not well described. BEACH meant near to the beach , not on it. -boardwalk was not directly across the street from unit so the walk was longer than expected. The sign needs refreshing. but okay structure.-wise. -front door VERY hard to lock, unlock, and pull shut b/c it sticks in the frame badly. we had to slam it shut and push it open with a full body thrust to open it every single time. -pool was very small. only about 12 adults could comfortably float around in it. IF the door were fixed.... --We would stay again because of all the above pluses. And now we know what to expect about the walk to the beach. Thank you for a nice place to stay. TV
