This condo is one of eight fully furnished condos at the Singer Island Beach complex, located on one of the best streets on Singer Island. A central location allows you to walk everywhere! Soft sands and rollings waves await at the beach, just 1 block walk from your front door. In the evenings, check out local eateries right on your block. Other attractions within one mile of your vacation rental include Ocean Reef Park and the Easternmost Point in Florida landmark.
Back at your peaceful community, discover a tropical oasis complete with a sparkling pool and hot tub. Summary: The unit is 1 of 4 in a building with a great location, very close to the beach & local bars and restaurants. It was adequately supplied for our weeklong stay - beach towels ,chairs & a soft sided small cooler. It would have been nice to have sharper knives & larger skillets. The pool area in the back is very nicely landscaped. The units in the building next door also have access to the pool. The bedroom was warm during the night even with the a/c on. There are no ceiling fans & the instruction was to leave the fan on the a/c unit on AUTO, do NOT move to continuously on. This made it somewhat difficult to control airflow. Cons: During our week stay, 3 other parties had issues getting into their unit with the code supplied. We had no problem when we initially checked in , but were locked out when we extended our stay an add’l night. The ext. was made via a phone call to Vacasa on Sat to extend our check out from Mon to Tues. On Mon am, original check out, we left for a short time & when we came back we were locked out. We called the local property mgr & rec’d a recording that she does not work on Mon. & to call Vacasa. The Vacasa rep was able to reset the code to let us in, but it worked as a 1 time code & it wouldn’t unlock the door again which we tested while on the phone. That rep was not able to do anything else, so he contacted the local property mgmt co. After 2 hrs with no response, we called Vacasa again, as we could not leave the unit & lock it & if we had left, we wouldn’t be there to test the new code. The 2nd Vacasa rep said the same thing – he would call the local property co. It was 4 MORE hrs, for a ttl of 6 hrs before we heard from the local rep on call & rec’d a valid code that worked on our door. We asked for a refund for the entire day add’l day/night since we were not able to leave the unit & spend the day as we had planned when we extended our stay. Vacasa agreed to give us a $44.50 credit instead. This amount is not even a prorated portion of the total for the 6 hours that we were stuck without a code for the lock. Obviously, Vacasa & the local mgmt co. do not have good communication. Coding the doors & communicating the correct code to the customer is a frequent problem as we witnessed with other guests staying. Based on our experience, we would caution interested renters to anticipate access issues. We found the unit on VRBO, so we are not sure how Vacasa came into play. Just beware!
