We welcome pets but please ask us about bringing pets. We accept up to two dogs and up to 50 pounds. The cabin is too small for large dogs. There is a $50 per pet fee per week or $20 per night per pet for shorter stays. Pets MUST be kenneled if they are left in the cabin unattended. No exceptions. ***Please read through the following information prior to requesting to book. "Rancho Relaxo" (yes, there is a story behind the name) is a comfortable, clean and cozy cabin, located in the popular summer resort community of Scotch Creek, on the sunny north side of Shuswap Lake. The cabin has tons of character and will provide you with a completly relaxing and fun vacation. It is absolutely perfect for a small family or a romantic get away. There is a fully equipped kitchen, shawdirect satellite TV with piles of channels, DVD, and CD player. The two queen sized beds are very comfortable and are supplied with linens, comforters and pillows. The cabin is one big room with a wall and curtains seperating the living areas from the bedroom area. The other queen bed is in the living room area with a wall and curtain as well. For this reason, the cabin is best suited for a couple or a couple with children. There is a shower (no bath tub) in the bathroom. The bathroom is located seperate from the living space, attached but on the covered deck. The front deck is completly covered for your outdoor entertaining and BBQ'ing (barbeque and propane supplied). In the photo, you will see two doors, one goes into the bathroom, one to the living space. The cabin is situated on a beautiful, grassy, treed and privately owned double lot, on a quiet street away from the highway, with plenty of room for parking (even your boat), picnicing, volleyball, badminton and bocce. The entire property is yours to use. There is a set of bocce balls for you to use and a sunken, private fire pit. Bring some firewood with you or you may purchase firewood locally. Quite often however, there are local fire bans during the summer months. The lake is a very short walk (a few minutes), where you will find the Provincial Park, a boat launch, a park with a playground, picnic tables and a swimming beach. You do not have to cross the highway to reach the lake. The cabin is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Everything you need for a fun and comfortable holiday is waiting for you at Rancho Relaxo. If there is anything you feel you require, just let us know and we will do our best to make you happy. We are a short drive away. Bookings are weekly Saturday to Saturday during the summer months. Please ask about staying for less than a week. Check in is 3 pm and check out is 10:30 am. Please inquire about checking in or out earlier or later. Bath towels, kitchen and bed linens are supplied. Bring your own beach towels. RENTAL AND ADDITIONAL FEES Please ensure you leave the cabin as you find it, clean and tidy for the next guests. If you choose not to leave it clean and tidy, you can choose to pay an optional cleaning fee of up to150$. The barbeque, if not left the way you found it is 25$. The cabin can accomodate up to 4 guests. Please inquire about bringing extra guests,tents or an RV. There is plenty of room to pitch a tent or bring an RV. Extra guests on the property are $25 per night, whether in the cabin or in a tent. To park an RV on the property is $30 per night. Pet fees are $50 per pet, per week, or $15 per night for shorter stays, up to two 50 pound dogs. The website you book through charges a booking fee. This is paid directly to the booking company. We require a 350$ refundable damage/security deposit when you reserve to secure your booking. This is completely refundable upon departure after we check out the cabin as long as it is left as you found it.The refundable deposit is paid at the time of booking by mailing a check or by email bank transfer. Once received, your tentative booking is reserved. The rest of the fees, the $350 refundable deposit, pet fees, rental amount and cleaning fee (if applicable), are paid to me personally, either by mailing a check or online email bank transfer (I find email bank transfer is the easiest to send funds and for me to refund the deposit). I will give you my personal email address once your booking has been accepted. The rent and other fees are payable to us 60 days prior to your arrival. This again is done either by mailing a cheque or by online bank email transfer.
