Welcome to our exquisite chalet retreat, nestled atop a serene mountain and accessible via a private road. Guests rave about the unparalleled privacy and breathtaking vistas. This luxurious getaway is a true haven for those seeking a perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and natural beauty.
You will have the house all to yourself and not have to share it with anyone else. You are booking the top two floors, there is a separate listing for all three floors intended for larger groups. The ground floor will not be occupied while you are there.
No need to fumble with keys as you effortlessly enter the front door via keyless entry. Walk through the cozy mudroom with its convenient hooks for hanging outerwear, and step into the living room.
Relax on the comfortable leather furnishings in the cozy warmth of the pellet stove. fireplace. You’ll love the spacious, airy feel of the room, provided by a soaring ceiling and natural light streaming in through oversized windows. You’ll find an ideal setup for conversing, with two sofas and an arm chair. Watch movies on the 55" Roku TV with your own log-ins. The room affords mountain views with easy access to the deck through sliding doors.
Craft culinary delights in the fully equipped kitchen with chef-preferred electric stove/oven, refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and microwave. You’ll also find a toaster, hand mixer, slow cooker, blender, fondue set, waffle maker, and food processor.. You’ll have all the cookware, bakeware, dishware, flatware, glassware, serving-ware, and utensils you need to prepare and serve your favorite meals.
Grab your morning hot beverage from your choice of drip coffee maker, French press, Keurig coffee maker, or electric tea kettle.
Dine at the dining room table with seating for 6. The dining rooms reveals mountain vistas through the glass sliding door. You can eat here or al fresco. The double set of sliding doors lead to a wrap-around deck with seating at two picnic tables and a sizable outdoor sectional, ideal for mountain air appreciation. Cook on the two grills—gas (host supplied) and Kamado (bring your own coal)— that stand ready for outdoor cooking.
While you are outside, you will find more entertainment in the yard. Take shelter from the sun in the shaded sitting area under the deck. In the evening gather around the fire pit area complete with string lights and Adirondack chairs - with tables for beverages. Make S´mores or memories by the fire. Basketball enthusiasts can practice their free throws with the backyard hoop.
Unwind on the property's expansive outdoors, take a stroll through the forest or gaze at the spectacular mountain views.
After a full day of enjoying all the Catskills have to offer, or just hanging out at your home base taking advantage of all the fun things to do, head for a restful night’s sleep in your choice of two bedrooms or loft.
The first bedroom, with a king size memory foam mattress is conveniently on the main level. You’ll find plenty of storage space in the dresser and bedside tables with lamps as well as a luggage rack. You’ll love the delightful views of the forest, along with natural light and curtains to block the light at night. Heat/AC is provided by a mini split system.
Refresh and rejuvenate in the master ensuite bath with a large sink vanity, tub/combo shower, and all bathroom essentials (hair dryer, towels, makeup towels, toiletries, and more). You’ll love the convenience of washer/dryer and supplies as well.
The second bedroom, on the second level, features a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress. A mini-split keeps you warm or cool. a dresser. This bedroom offers two dressers, a versatile chaise that can function as a toddler bed. Roman blinds combined with curtains ensure that your sleep will be uninterrupted by light. A pack and play is also available with advance notice and upon request.
On the second floor, enjoy the loft's best-in-house views, hosting a queen-sized bed, and a dresser. The loft is open to below.
The second full bathroom, on the second level, in between the loft and the second bedroom includes a shower stall, pedestal sink, and skylight.
As you savor nature, meet local residents: hawks, bears, coyotes, porcupines, deer, beavers, woodchucks, turkeys, raccoons, geese, ducks, frogs, and possums.

Guest access
You will have private access to the entire house, including all of the outdoor areas. This excludes a few locked closets we use for storage as well as the ground floor of the house. There is a separate listing for the entire house for groups of 5 and more with an additional two bedrooms, bathroom and living room that sleeps 10.
The chalet is located on a private road that has a steep descent at the beginning - if there is a chance of snow you must have an all wheel drive vehicle with good tires. The road gets plowed when there is 4 inches or more. The road will usually be plowed after the storm is over, not during the storm. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip.
The home is extremely family-friendly! In order to be baby-friendly, the chalet has most outlets covered (main floor), items such as a pack n play with mattress, a high chair, a Bumbo seat and crib with crib mattress (please bring your own crib linens). The outside wrap-around deck also has a gate, so your child will be safe. There are also many older kid games, such as checkers, chess, Monopoly, and many more.

Other things to note
Do not under any circumstances leave food outside or on the grill overnight! After grilling you should always clean the grill, not only as a courtesy to the next guest grilling but more importantly to AVOID attracting BEARS.
Only the guests listed on the reservation are authorized to occupy the property. Ten guest maximum. Unfortunately, no additional day/night guests or visitors. Guest will be charged for any unauthorized person on the property at a minimum of $75.00 per occurrence/ night. Host has the ability to cancel the reservation and remove guests not following rules at any time. If guests are asked to leave for not following the rules deposits may be kept and stay deemed nonrefundable.
Fire wood: Wood is not provided. Please do not assume that there are bundles of leftover wood from previous guests for your use. You can collect fallen branches in the woods around the house or you can purchase bundles of firewood at the hardware store or grocery store in Prattsville.
