Located on five treed peaceful and private acres, this ground floor guest suite has spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The property is private without compromising convenience: 20min from downtown Durango, 15min from shopping/dining options, and 12min from Mercy Medical Center. One bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with shower, living area with wood-burning fireplace, and full kitchen. Perfect for couples, singles, or a family of 3. Up to 2 dogs ok.
If you like being out of the hustle and bustle to enjoy the quiet, scenic countryside, welcome to your home away from home. You can sit out on the covered patio, sip your morning beverage and take in the beauty of southwestern Colorado. Accessed from a private outside entry, this guest suite spans the entire first floor of the home. It is separated from our personal living space completely by a locked door and a stairwell.
Featuring one bedroom with a queen size bed, walk-in closet, an attached bathroom (shower only - no tub), living area with wood-burning fireplace inside a stone surround and large stone hearth, a full kitchen with dishwasher/microwave/range/fridge, and southern-facing outdoor patio area; this spacious suite offers room to enjoy and relax. There is a desk in the main living area and the suite has full access to high-speed satellite internet. TV has internet and access to Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, and a host of other streaming services.
The home has both a central heating and central air conditioning system, though the suite does not have separate controls. We are only a text away to adjust the temperature, and have also provided heaters, fans, and other comfort items.
We love pets and welcome up to 2 dogs. Sorry, no cats. There is no fencing around the property, and many neighbors also have animals. Please keep your dog(s) leashed at all times outside the home. We provide a long lead tie-out for convenience. There is a one-time $25 cleaning charge for pets.
The fire danger near our home is high year-round. Please no outdoor fires or smoking.
