Please make sure you are looking at our rates in Canadian $'s. Due to COVID, we have had to adjust our check in time to 4:30pm and check out to 10am in order to give our cleaners extra time to disinfect the cottage. Thank you for your understanding. Our heritage cottage, 6 Lily Lane, has been renovated to modern standards. Settled on a private one-acre point with morning sunrises to start your day and evening sunsets that will take your breath away. The cottage point overlooks low bank tidal pools that you can explore all day on one side, and a private sand pebble beach for swimming and building sand castles on the other side. There is a short staircase to the beach, but it can also be accessed using the boat ramp. We are two cottages away from East Point Park, where the orcas visit on a regular basis, but unfortunately, they do not share their schedule with us. Settle yourself on the sandstone rocks and wait for their arrival. You will be so close you could reach out and touch one, but we advise you to use your camera instead! Watch the sea lions, seals and, dolphins frolic in the ocean as you relax on the front lawn. Be amazed by the bald eagles diving for their dinner, and be prepared to be startled by a deer nibbling the tree outside your window. Your stay also gives you access to 44 acres of private hiking trails for your dog to enjoy off leash walks. The cottage is fully equipped with linens, towels, full kitchen, firewood and an outdoor propane barbeque. The cottage has a queen bed in the master, twins in the second bedroom and a pullout couch in the living room, all with feather duvets. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably and is not designed for more guests than that. The pull out couch is there if someone does not want to share a room with a snorer, sleep talker or whatever! The road to our retreat is well paved and great for biking. Our driveway is a short private packed dirt lane. It can be a bit bumpy but you do not need a 4 wheel drive or anything like that! Bring your boat, kayak, sailboat, or canoe and launch it at our private boat ramp. If you are using your GPS to find us, please use the address 723 Tumbo Channel Road, Saturna Island. We have guests who have been returning every summer for over 25 years. The summer weeks are offered to returning guests first, but we do keep a wait list.
