Santa Maria is a beautiful 15th Century Grade II listed cottage, located on a pretty cobbled street, in the very centre of historic Rye. The cottage has a wealth of original features including exposed beams & a handsome log fire, which are there to greet you in the open- plan lounge/dining area on the ground floor. The lounge is well equipped with a large flat screen Smart Television, complete with Netflix. There is also a DVD player, together with a selection of DVD’s , a Google Home device & of course WIFI. The dining area has a large oak dining table & chairs, where you can comfortably entertain or engage in playing one of a choice of board games & puzzles at your disposal, if you decide to spend a night in. A door from the lounge leads through to a well-equipped kitchen area which includes an oven & hob, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, large fridge freezer, microwave & a Nespresso coffee machine, together with everything you could need to self-cater for your stay. Leading from the kitchen, there is a small secluded pretty rear courtyard, with table, chairs & romantic outside lighting. Also, on the ground floor, we have a large modern shower room with a glorious full- head power shower, sink & a toilet.. Up the stairs, onto the 1st floor , there are 3 bedrooms available, all of which have top quality, super comfy mattresses and mattress toppers, hotel quality duvets, pillows, linens & towels. There is also a small cloakroom with a WC & hand basin. The master bedroom, to the front of the house, is really quite special. It has exposed oak floor & timber beams, a very fitting king size oak four poster bed, loads of wardrobe space which are provided by 2 handsome double -oak wardrobes, where you will also find the iron & hair dryer. Bedroom no.2, to the rear, is much smaller, but to maximise space, has a super-comfy small double bed , a pretty wardrobe with mirror & a bedside table . Perfect for one person to stretch out or two to cuddle up in. Bedroom no.3, to the front, is a beautiful, airy room for one, with exposed brickwork & fireplace (not in use). It has a super, large single bed & good hanging / storage space available. Rye is a magical town, with an abundance of quaint shops, art galleries, antique shops, cafe’s , pubs & restaurants, to suit all tastes. Rye also has its very own boutique Kino Cinema. All these facilities are literally a minute's walk away from the cottage as are the many visitors' attractions . Also, a short walk away you will find bus stops & a train station. Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, with its own stony beach is 2.4 miles away, whilst the famous, long, sandy beaches of Camber sands are just 3 miles away. Both are accessible by safe walking paths, car or regular bus service. Cars are not permitted to park outside the cottage, which creates a peaceful cobble stoned haven in the midst of this historic & lively town . However, guests are able to pull up outside, in order to unload, before parking in a nearby car park, just 2 minutes away.
