Positive: Central location, right on main pedestrian shopping street with lots of cafes and restaurants. Short walk to metro and all main tourist sights within walking distance although be aware Porto is very hilly. Host was very informative and helped us make bookings for restaurants/trips and provided a map with points of interest marked on it. Top marks for location and value for money. Beds were clean and very comfortable and apartment was quiet.
Negative: Be warned if you have small children or mobility problems the apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift so it was fun lifting our suitcases up. You also access the apartment through a shop front. There appear to be two apartments - one at the front of the building and one at the back. We got the one at the back which was quite small and a little tired. The "air conditioning" was a unit in the main living area which really didn't do very much.
