The overall look is of a fresh, light filled beach house in a charming chalet style. The living space has timeless appeal, finished in cool coastal colours to blend with the surrounding seascape. The sitting room has a relaxed, informal feel with comfortable furnishings and small dining space, leading to a compact kitchen and two simple but beautifully presented bedrooms. Outside, the garden leads directly onto the sand dunes and over onto the stunning curve of wide golden sands with Bamburgh Castle as the breathtaking backdrop. GROUND FLOOR Compact kitchen with electric double oven and four ring hob, fridge with freezer box and microwave. Please note that due to space limitations, there is no dishwasher. Sitting room with a large two seater sofa and armchair. Technology includes a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player, DAB radio and Bluetooth docking station. DVDs and games. There is a small table with dining space for up to four guests. Bedroom one with 5’ king size bed, two bedside tables, dressing table, full length mirror, wardrobe with drawer space. Bedroom two with 3’ single bed, bedside table, and hanging hooks with hangers. Family bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Utility cupboard with washing machine and storage for larger cleaning items. OUTSIDE The cottage sits in a private garden with patio, garden furniture and charcoal kettle barbecue. The garden is enclosed with a picket fence. A small shed to the rear provides useful storage for beach kit. The road is the main access route into Bamburgh therefore please note that this can get very busy during peak periods. A ten minute walk over the sand dunes will allow direct access onto Bamburgh beach. There is a pavement opposite Sandhills on the main access road, allowing guests to walk into the village which will take approximately eight-ten minutes. Please note that a public right of way runs to the side of the cottage. PARKING There is ample parking adjacent to the cottage. BABIES & CHILDREN A travel cot and highchair are available on request. DOGS Two dogs are welcome at Sandhills. The entrance is directly onto carpet in the hall and dogs should be cleaned and dried before access into the property. Owners are requested to keep their dogs off the furniture. GUEST AMENITIES The beds are made up with Egyptian cotton bed linen, feather and duck down duvets and pillows. A hairdryer is supplied in the master bedroom. Luxurious bath sheets, hand towels and guest toiletries are provided. WI-FI & MOBILE COVERAGE Regretfully Wi-Fi is not available. Mobile coverage can be variable depending on network and location within the cottage and improves outside. HEATING Central heating throughout the property provided by electric radiators.
