Positive: The property was beautiful, well appointed, and the welcome tray of tea/coffee pods/milk/crisps and a bottle of Prosecco was a lovely treat. The best feature was the downstairs space; particularly the bifolds in the kitchen, and patio doors in the lounge onto a great patio. We picked this property predominantly due to the 2 bathrooms, proximity to the town (walkable for my 88 yr old mother in law), the parking (including large garage space) was excellent and a downstairs extra toilet was a plus.
Negative: The only dampener to our stay was the lack of handrail on the staircase; my mother in law is an excellent, if slow & steady walker, but requires the support of rails where stairs are concerned. The external steps leading to the front door were not an issue thanks to the rail, and I was able to verify this via the property pictures before booking, however the internal staircase required our support at all times, which was upsetting to a fiercely independent lady; she could not come and go as she pleased.
Summary: Very enjoyable week in a home from home.
