2 Bedroom Condo in Kihei

Our top floor penthouse suite was remodeled just before we purchased it in 2014 to provide you with exceptional value, comfort and location!
We bought this unit for the location, view, the remodel, the large size, two bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and on a single level (no loft!) The location, view and each bedroom having it's own bathroom are the most noticed comments in our reviews, in addition to being clean and well maintained. If you are staying in Kihei, there are three beaches that are great for swimming - kam I, II and III -and they all have life guards. We are directly across the street from Kam II and III. There are only a few vacation rental properties actually on the beach in Kihei and they are typically 2x the price per night. Besides being across from the beaches, we are easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
Every room has a sculpted high ceiling with recessed lighting and ceiling fans in every room (7 total). There are two bedroom suites - each with it's separate bathroom. There are two air conditioners, top of the line appliances, granite counter top in the kitchen, tile floor throughout, Hawaiian rug in living rooming,, two large flat screen HDTV'S - living room set 65" LED smart TV circa 2023 . Lanai furniture replaced in 2019. Dining table replaced in 2020. Stove and AC replaced 2025. We take pride in offering you a fresh, exceptionally clean condo with upgraded linens and furnishings. The master bedroom has a California King mattress, and the second bedroom suite has a high quality queen bed.. Much nicer mattresses than most vacation rentals. Ideally set up for two couples or a family with children (we have a pack n Play). So our maximum guests of 4 is four adults with flexibility on young children (we do not allow sleeping on the couches).
Our Penthouse features stunning panoramic ocean views and breath taking sunset views. The suite is located on the top floor (5th) of the building (building B (unit B507) - which is NOT right on busy S. Keihei Road). It is cozy and comfortable and a great place to spend your vacation. This is the only penthouse unit at Haleakala Shores to have insulated and finished ceilings to help keep the unit cool. The suite has lots of windows and is airy and light. Kamaole Beaches II/III (2 of the best beaches on Maui) are all located across the street from this great location. There are many other beaches within walking distance (Kamaole Beach I, Charlie Young and Cove Beach). You can walk back and forth from your convenient Penthouse suite to the beach all day long without having to use a vehicle.
Upgraded internet - 20 mb upload, 400 Mb download. Work from the Lanai! Wireless printer is in the desk in the bedroom.
Our suite has an open floor plan with 16' vaulted ceilings, 1,150 plus square feet, with plentiful windows, abundant sunlight along with refreshing breezes. The living room is the center of the suite and a great area to enjoy playing games, reading or watching your large wall-mounted HDTV. Make yourself at home and relax in the upgraded furniture while enjoying the surrounding artwork including a beautiful Hawaiian rug, turtles on the wall, and other tropical scenes which provides a touch of the local ambiance. This central hub of the suite provides a great place for bonding and making memories of a lifetime.
Haleakala Shores is one of the original condominium complexes in South Kihei. It is well maintained and has a unique architectural design with an elevated "bridge" tropical walk way system between the North and South units. Each unit has it's own "bridge" to your door. Construction is all concrete and masonry so you will not here anything through walls or the floor.
This two bedroom, two bath suite sleeps four guests and the beds are very comfortable. The bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the living room, with a separate bathroom in each bedroom suite, providing great separation for privacy. The master bedroom comes complete with a very comfortable California King-size pillow top mattress - not common for vacation rentals!. There is an ocean view from this room. The master bath has a large shower, built-in seat, grab bars and a pebble floor. The bathrooms have soft, clean upgraded towels. The second bedroom has an ocean view of its own. This room is elegantly furnished, lockable (actual solid doors-not a screen) and includes a comfortable Queen-size pillow top bed.
The "5th" person is for a small child that would use the pack n play be in the parents bed. The couches are not for sleeping.
There are beautiful new granite counter tops in the kitchen making this a fabulous place for cooking your vacation meals. The kitchen is well equipped with new top of the line cooking appliances. There is a variety of small appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, bowls, pots/pans, baking dishes, etc. available for your use. The dining area is conveniently located next to the kitchen and is furnished with a dining table and seating for four. There is a new washer and dryer located in the laundry closet next to the kitchen.
Enjoy our private pool area which is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, it is quiet and relaxing. You may spend some time by the pool swimming, relaxing and/or reading a book. After a long day on the beach you can grill your favorite meal on one of four gas barbecues. Assigned carport parking is conveniently located steps away from the elevator and the suite which provides for ease of unloading your belongings.
This is a non-smoking complex and no smoking is allowed in the Penthouse suite or on the lanai. No pets are allowed in the suite or the complex (yes, we cannot even bring our own little pooch!)
We have an on-island manager who lives minutes away from our complex. Our manager is available for any questions or concerns regarding your stay once you have arrived. The manager provides oversight of our housekeeping and maintenance staff so that any concerns that arise can be resolved immediately. Haleakala Shores has an on site manager as well.

There are many things to do in Maui: Golfing, tennis, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kite surfing, down hill biking, paddle boarding, wine tasting, horseback riding, taking the road to Hana, hiking in Iao Valley State Park, and the viewing of beautiful waterfalls. Visiting other areas like Maalaea Harbor, Lahania, islands of Molokai, Molokini and Lanai, upcountry towns, the shops and beaches of Wailea, the Pacific Whale Foundation, aquarium, Makena State Park, and Mt. Haleakala.
Things we love to do when vacationing in Maui include: Going to the beach and building sand castles or paddle boarding in the serenity of the wide blue ocean, going to the pool, relaxing and having a nice cold drink, snorkeling in the reef and seeing the beautiful tropical fish and turtles, eating shaved ice, walking down the beach walkway, skating at the outdoor rink at sunset, shoreline walks, watching breath taking sunsets daily, and slowing down enough to enjoy life, and bond with our family.
Policies: A deposit of 25% of suite rate is required to hold your reservation. Early and late check in/outs are available if there is not a same day check in or check out. Please let us know in advance to schedule the cleaners. Our condo maximum occupancy is 4, but we will consider 5 if they are a small child.
Cancellation Policy: Before 60 days 100% refund less $150.00 processing fee.
30 to 60 days 50% refund less $150.00 processing fee (unless we rent the unit) . Less than 30 days no refund unless we rent the unit less $150.00 processing fee. Please see our rental contract for further details (this is per the VRBO "strict" cancellation policy with exception of processing fee and refund if we rent the unit) . So far after 8 years we have not kept a cancellation as we have always been able to re rent the unit.
