Positive: The apartment was clean and had everything needed for a relaxed stay. I didn’t cook much during my time there, but there were plenty of utensils and equipment available if needed. The apartment itself is a little dated, but it was comfortable, tidy, and made for a pleasant stay. Great location too, especially for the price.

Negative: The shower didn’t drain properly and it took hours for the water to go down, which would have been tricky if two people wanted to shower one after another. From my experience in Sal, this seems to be a common issue in a lot of places, so I don’t think it’s unique to this apartment. The only downsides for me were with the security staff on site. One of the guards would constantly shout “beautiful” at me whenever I passed, which while meant kindly, was unnecessary and sometimes uncomfortable. Another time, a pool security guard insisted I remove my towel from a sunbed (by pointing at a sign saying you can’t reserve sunbeds) even though I was only going to grab a sandwich for 20 minutes and there were plenty of other beds free. It felt over the top and unnecessary. Overall, these were more situational annoyances and not a reflection on the apartment itself, which made for a comfortable base during my stay.
