Summary: The location of Safe Haven is awesome. It is in a gated neighborhood but still feels remote. We loved the 15 minute ride to downtown Blue Ridge. We stayed over Thanksgiving and there was a turkey pan on the counter for us...loved that little hospitable touch. The house was good. We really enjoyed the cold weather and having a wood burning fireplace. The hot tub and downstairs game room were other great features we enjoyed. Safe Haven could use a good deep clean. I found a lot of collected dust in the kitchen and bathrooms but overall was clean enough. The amenities were basic...thin towels, old washcloths and a few hotel sample toiletry items. All that is to say that I would stay here again but with the proper expectations.
