Positive: Very good layout for 2 families, with the lounge in the middle and 2 bedrooms with a bathroom either side, nice quiet location, decent size kitchen and I nice size pool / outdoor terrace with a decent bbq. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size.

Negative: The property doesn’t have any air conditioning, which wouldn’t have been such an issue if it hadn’t been 37*, so it was uncomfortably hot at night, even though fans are provided in each bedroom, they did little to reduce the heat. The beds are very firm, and the pillows are very flat, with only 1 pillow per person this led to a fairly uncomfortable nights sleep. Being such a remote location there is a huge ant issue, all fresh food must be sealed otherwise it will be full of ants in no time atall, any smallest amount of food dropped on the floor becomes swamped with ants in a matter of seconds, we spent a decent amount of money on Tupperware boxes and sealing sandwich bags (which we did leave for future guests) Also as it’s a remote location, and the pool is one of the only water sources in the area we had a real issue with paper wasps, although they aren’t aggressive and won’t sting just for fun like yellow jackets, we did have a couple of days that there were so many wasps in the pool and flying about that we couldn’t go outside. Most of the 7 people in our group (mainly children) got stung more than once. The agent was prompt at sending someone out to remove the 2 nests we found, but we still had an issue everyday of our stay, though they usually disappeared by 7pm. The house rules state that the rubbish must be taken to the local recycling centre every day, this is about a 10min drive away, which we weren’t aware of before we checked in, but with the ant issue you wouldn’t want to have rubbish building up anyway as the rubbish bags just become infested if not tied up tightly. The shower was pretty hit or miss on whether it was too hot, or freezing cold. It’s also not stated that a car is an absolute must have requirement, luckily we had one, but we would have really struggled if we hadn’t as the property is so remote, it isn’t possible to walk anywhere.

Summary: A nicely set out villa, but definitely had its issues with left us feeling a little stressed about our holiday.
