Superb and spacious contemporary designed home nestled between the foot of the South Downs and Amberley Wild Brooks - an 800 acre flood plane and RSPB nature reserve. With breathtaking 360 degree views, The Rook is your perfect escape in the country. 15 minutes from Goodwood. The Rook is a uniquely designed house with heaps of entertaining space including its large open plan kitchen dining and seating area, a further large mezzanine lounge and floating terrace with outdoor seating/dining. From there expect to see wild deer, foxes, owls, eagles and of course the resident rooks who live in the surrounding ancient trees. The hi spec contemporary kitchen is fitted with all the mod cons, including boiling water tap, Neff/Bosch appliances, waste disposal unit, tall fridge and pantry. Whilst the Rook's interior is awash with vibrant colours and textures, with contemporary art, neon, clay plaster wall finishes and a blend of antique and modern furnishings all working together to make this a haven for lovers of design. Outside you’ll find a wood burning hot tub (fits 12 adults) with sun deck, large lawn, private bluebell woods (1.5 acres) with yoga platform, meditation pod and rifle range (adults only). (For safety reasons the hot tub and area can only be used in good weather) We welcome families, with facilities including fully stocked play room, triple bunk beds, mud kitchen, fairy woods, sand pit and outdoor toys. We welcome large groups and can sleep up to 10 adults and 3 children in the house (more possible with occasional beds upon request). Outside we have 2 luxury bell tents that can sleep up to 8 more people (May- October). We are happy for you to let your hair down and party in the house, and we have an excellent sound system loud enough for even the biggest party animals. For those of you looking for a more chilled out stay, we offer a menu of wellness retreat packages, including Yoga, Pilates, sound bath and meditation instructors, vegan and raw food cookery courses, private chef, Personal Trainers, bike hire including E bikes, and tutorials in other creative pursuits such as art and photography. Drop us a line for more information and prices. Surrounding the house in all directions there are beautiful walks a plenty, with 3 excellent pubs and a restaurants in Amberley Village. Arundel and it’s famous castle are just a short 10 minute drive, with several award winning beaches, including Littlehampton, West Witterings and Climping just little further. If you want to explore further there are plenty of interesting things to see, including Bignor Roman Villa (5 miles), NyTimber vineyard (5miles) Brighton (20 miles), Guildford (28 miles) and Chichester and Goodwood (12 miles).
