The Space:
Rum Runner Port A Beach House is located in Port Aransas, Texas, right off of 11th Street, near Ave. G and is only 3 blocks from the beach. Easily walk, cart, bike or drive to the beach from Rum Runner. Built in 2012, Rum Runner can comfortably accommodate 12 guests throughout 2100 sq. ft.
Please Note: If your stay is in the winter months & plan to use the pool, this pool is heated by a heat pump meaning that it will NOT be a hot tub temp. If the air temp is above 50, the pool temp MAY heat UP TO 20 degrees warmer. Below 50 air temp, it will not feel warm. The warmer the outside air temp, the more comfortable feel of the pool water. We CANNOT guarantee a temp for the pool. MOST DAYS, with the outside air temp reaching ABOVE 60 degrees, even in the winter in Port A, the pool should heat up to about 80 degrees. Please understand that the pool will NEVER feel like a hot tub with the pool warmer on at its highest setting. The pool warmer can be activated when the water temp gets below 83 degrees which is usually mid October to mid April time frame (depending on weather/temps).

Fun beach house curb appeal draws you in to Rum Runner, along with ample parking for 4 vehicles. Boat parking is allowed in the driveway. The carport area offers a large patio table and chairs to feel the sea breeze and grill your meals with a charcoal and propane grill. Party lights will make your evenings out here even more fun!
Through the fenced in area, you'll find a private pool, perfect for jumping in to cool off from a long hot day at the beach and don't forget the outdoor shower to rinse off. It's right at the fence for the pool.
The downstairs suite offers a king size bed, 2 twins (upper bunk style) and a full bath. It has a ceiling fan and a flat screen TV.
Head upstairs to a beautiful spacious deck that overlooks stunning sunsets! Be sure to time your day where you end up on this deck at sunset time! You'll have ample seating with table and 4 chairs for meals, drinks or coffee and 2 additional chairs for kicking back!
Open your door and catch your breath as you walk into tile floors, stunning white cabinets, beautiful ship lap accent wall and a couch that you will want to sink into!
The kitchen is well stocked with place settings, pots, pans, and every prepping, cooking, serving and eating utensil you can think of. Blender, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Skillet...we've tried to think of it all! All in a beautiful, open floor plan to help make your beach stay feel like the convenience of home.
The dining space offers a large table and 8 chairs and the kitchen island offers 4 bar stools - tons of eating and visiting space, all while looking out the windows to the stunning deck!
A few steps to living space, where you are greeted with a super long and super cool teal/turquoise sofa and 4 chairs, driftwood and glass coffee table, large flat screen TV (cable and WIFI provided) and comfortable beach décor that you won't be able to stop looking at...it's one of our fave spaces in this beach house!
Head down the hallway to a guest bath (bath towels and washcloths provided), 3 bedrooms & a laundry closet which holds a full-size washer & dryer and iron and ironing board.
There are 2 King master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and both have flat screen TVs and master closets. Plenty of privacy with the private bathrooms offering oversized showers and lots of space to unpack and get comfortable!
Also down the hallway is a bunk room with 2 built in bunk sets, totaling 4 twin beds. It also has a closet and a flat screen TV.
All bathrooms come stocked with 2 rolls of toilet paper, 8 towels, 8 wash clots and 8 hand towels. A hair dryer is also provided. A one use shampoo and shower gel is available for guests. Be sure to bring extra!
There are 2 trash bins under the stair case outside and you can dispose of full trash bags in those bins.
Pets are considered with a nonrefundable pet fee, NON aggressive breeds; you must disclose weight and breed and pay the pet fee UPFRONT. No pets on furniture please. There is no fenced yard and guests are responsible for their pets and their safety, and cleaning up after them.
House Rules and Things to Note:
Minimum Age to Rent is 24.
No Smoking and no vaping in the property. This is a non smoking property. $500 fee will be added if smoke odor is present in the home.
No Parties/Events.
Quiet Hours 10pm to 7am – Enforced.
Not responsible for accidents.
There is no child proofing; you must remain with your children at all times.
Must be able to walk stairs.
No more than 12 guests.
No late check outs after 10:15am or another night's stay will be charged.
Check in Time is approx time; housekeeping and maintenance make all attempts to be ready by 4pm but there is no guarantee.
Pets considered with paid pet fee prior to check in. Guest must disclose pets and pay pet fee prior to arrival.
STARTER set for guests to include trash bags, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo and shower gel. Guests SHOULD bring extra amounts of these items as the starter set is for 1 night.
Guests are responsible for their own beach chairs, beach towels and pool towels. Our linens and towels are NOT to be removed from the property for any reason. Guests will be charged linen fees for misuse of linens to include stains, tearing, etc.
Construction is always happening somewhere in Port Aransas; we can’t guarantee that you won’t hear/see construction, building, or community improvement projects and events during your stay.
Cable/WIFI is provided as a convenience; Port A does experience outages from time to time.
There are no refunds for outages of cable/WIFI or if pool is closed for cleaning, repair or maintenance or temperature is undesirable.
Please remember that you are on an island; mosquitos/pests can be plentiful several times per year. Our properties are treated by professional pest control service every 4-8 weeks.
If police are called to the property for any disturbance, a $500 fee will be assessed and guests will be required to vacate the property with no refund.

The Neighborhood:
Rum Runner is located in the heartbeat area of beach goers. It's super easy to access 11th Street and Avenue G to get to the beach, restaurants, shopping and events. You can easily walk, drive, cart or bike to many nearby places.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around Port A is by golf cart. It's fun and part of the vacation experience. Rum Runner is in the golf cart zone. you can easily get to the beach or restaurants, shopping, etc within 3-4 minutes.
