Rosemount’s property and garden are surrounded by an old wall and hedges and directly face Holy Trinity Church, built in 1834. One approaches Rosemount’s front garden through a wrought iron gate and up stone steps flanked by two small ancient cannons. The magnolia tree is splendid in spring and the lawn overlooking the estuary is large enough for a nice game of croquet. Rosemount has an outdoor porch with a large comfortable bench. Once inside, a spacious open hall with an alcove window seat welcomes visitors. To the right is the ground floor twin bedroom with a decorative fireplace and a view of the garden and sea. To the left is the sitting room with TV and log fireplace. Through French doors off the sitting room is the dining room with wood-burning fireplace and family table. The kitchen, off the hall and dining room has a heated stone tiled floor, and is fully equipped with dishes, cutlery pots and pans, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Off the kitchen in the old pantry area is a small hall and three little rooms containing a WC, a shower room and a washing machine/clothes dryer. The back garden has apple and pear trees and at the bottom of the garden are 5 chickens who provide fresh eggs each morning! On the second floor, there are varnished old pine floors throughout and decorative fireplaces in two of the three bedrooms. To the left of the landing is a bedroom with French hand carved double bed and oak furniture overlooking the estuary. The spacious bathroom, with large roll top bathtub and hand-held shower overlooks the back garden and nearby fields. Further down the wide hall is the master bedroom with sink, king-size bed, and three-sided dormer window with estuary views. Behind the master bedroom is a third large bedroom overlooking the neighbouring park, containing a sink and two twin trundle beds which can sleep four. Clean bed linens and towels are provided. Rosemount is heated with high efficiency electric radiators which are controlled by individual thermostats. Rosemount has parking for two cars.
