In the spring of 2018 a major remodel was completed. All new kitchen from the floor to ceiling. Custom cabinets, granite counter tops and new flooring. There is also a new mud room with wet bar, new washer and dryer, a 2nd fridge. In June of 2020 we replaced all bedding with Beautyrest mattresses were added and we upgraded the landscaping. Spring of 2022 Rollin on the River received a new coat of exterior paint.
This private, cozy and spacious single story ranch home is bordered to the front by Chimney Rock State Park and the rear by the Rocky Broad River. The level lot features a large yard with easy parking access. Inside, comfortable furniture and an antique oak claw foot table enhance the large open living and dining area. The master bedroom has a king size bed and private bath. There is an additional full bath. The efficient remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances, pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils, cutlery, small appliances & large. We also have brand new washer and dryers. If don't prefer to do laundry on your mountain vacay, we get it! Instead, relax and dine near the river on the comfortable screened porch, and get even closer on the awesome riverside deck. From there you can enjoy the spectacular river breezes and mountain views on all sides! If you are lucky some of the abundant wildlife in the area will stop by. Watch for Blue Herons, ducks, wild turkeys, turtles, otters, bobcats, beavers, deer and lots of other critters that gather at the river.
Enjoy all the modern conveniences of home with 200mbs of internet, cable TV and 2 smart TV’s along with a landline with domestic calling.

Our river house bordered by Chimney Rock State Park, is located in the quiet, residential neighborhood of Southside Drive in Chimney Rock Village. There is no through traffic, only one way in and one way out -- a charming one-lane metal bridge over the Rocky Broad River. A few minutes' walk finds you in downtown Chimney Rock, offering unique shops, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops, a brewery and soon-to-be winery. A bit longer walk or a very short drive leads to nearby Lake Lure, made famous by the film Dirty Dancing and beautiful by Mother Nature. Enjoy its public beach, boat and kayak rentals, and not-to-be-missed Lake Lure Flowering Bridge! We are an easy 20-25 minute drive to the Tryon Internationl Equestrian Center!
Not gonna find public transpo here, but a vehicle and hiking shoes will take you far.
This home has a max occupancy of 4 people. No couch surfing or inflatable beds Our minimum age is 13 and up and accompanied by an adult of at least 25 years old.
You’ll be relieved to know that we have implemented enhanced measures to insure you have a restful and safe stay. While our guests’ reviews already rave about our cleanliness, we have elevated our already high cleaning standards to include the use of CDC/EPA approved cleaning solutions and devoting extra attention to all touch surfaces throughout the home. In addition, the reservation calendar will allow for a 48 hour window between departure of previous and arrival of next guests.
