Positive: The chalet was bright and welcoming and very clean. It was good to be greeted by a member of staff the day after our arrival to make sure we were ok. We enjoyed the view of the Churchill barriers and Italian Chapel and being able to bird watch from the window. It is quite close to Kirkwall and we can recommend the ice-cream shop next to the cathedral! It's a good idea to book ferries for day trips to other islands before you begin your holiday as they get booked up very quickly.
Negative: The bed seemed quite short but we are used to king-size. The kitchen is well stocked but lacked an egg slice for omelette making.
Summary: A great place for a week's holiday.
