For the outdoor enthusiasts among you, there are plenty of trailheads nearby for scenic hikes in and out of the Deschutes National Forest, or you can visit the extinct Pilot Butte volcano, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the area. If you’ve come to the area for the fresh powder and challenging ski runs, Mt. Bachelor is a ½ hour drive away, making day trips to and from the slopes a breeze.
