Location: The Paved Road to Riverside follows the flow of Scenic Alarka Creek. This road offers quick access back to all the popular attractions and other Scenic Touring Roads. Riverside Retreat is approximately 20 minutes from Bryson City and the Deep Creek Entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and about 30 minutes from the Cherokee Entrance. A short Bridge over the Creek ends at the Gravel Parking Area of Riverside. This Vacation Getaway Cabin rests on the Rocky Bank of the Alarka Creek; a beautiful natural Smoky Mountain Trout Creek that flows into Fontana Lake. Access Road: Motorcycle and Mini Cooper Friendly, Smooth Road all the way to cabin, No Sharp Switchbacks and No more than a moderate incline, (No Mountain Road is flat) and level its' whole length Exterior: The short Gravel Driveway ends near the steps to the front deck. The front deck spans the entire front of the cabin and overlooks the creek below. From the deck sounds of Alarka Creek below and the smells of Cedar and Evergreen all combine to instantly transport you to a truly relaxing Mountain Getaway; seemingly leaving the rest of the busy world miles away. As you step on to the front deck the front door is straight ahead, past the glass doors of the TV Room on the right. Across from the front door is a Gas Grill where a sizzling steak is the only sound that could be more inviting than the Rushing Creek below. After a quiet meal in the fresh air, a relaxing soak in the private outdoor Hot Tub on the side deck is a great way to start off the evening. From the Hot Tub a couple of steps lead down to the side yard. On a cool night, sitting in the warmth of a fire in the Fire-Pit has an almost magical stress reducing effect. The side yard descends over the Bolder Strewn Banks of Alarka Creek below. Many great Trout Fishing spots can be found up and down the roads side. Entry Level: The front door opens into a spacious great room floor plan, with a wood panel vaulted ceiling that gives this vacation home a mountain cabin character. This getaway cabin atmosphere is carried further in the Living Room area with comfortable Leather Sofas in front of a Stone Gas Log Fireplace and Satellite TV. A wall of windows allows a view of the Forest along the Creek outside to fill the great rooms' interior all the way into the Kitchen area at the back. The large, open Kitchen has all the appliances and cooking utensils you will need to prepare a quiet meal. There is even a Dishwasher to help with the cleanup. To the right of the Kitchen is a large Dining Table to enjoy that quiet meal with up to six guests, if you wish to share. A door between the Living Room and Kitchen leads to the Master Bedroom. The large Master Suite continues the relaxing feel of a Mountain Cabin with a King Size Bed opposite a Stone Fireplace. Glass doors let the Forest View in and access out to the Private Hot Tub. On the right side of the Master Bedroom a small hall ends at a Jetted Tub under a large window open to the Forest behind the cabin. The Master Bath also has a separate Shower and two vanities. For nights when the weather is too unfavorable for relaxing outside or anytime you feel like it; a hallway off the Dining Area leads to the TV Room. Bring your favorite Blue Ray Movie to watch on the Large HD TV while relaxing on the comfortable Leather Sofa. To really get comfortable while watching TV or a movie, the Sofa pulls out into a Queen Size bed.
