The cottage sits on 2 acres of wooded property with a private lake on one side of the house and on the other is the majestic Halls River, a pristine spring fed river which flows into the Homosassa River, Florida's original Manatee Capital of the World! The scalloping grounds in the Gulf area out the Homosassa River are undisputably the absolute best in the state! (Scallop Season is July 1 - September 24 of each year.) Scalloping is best described as an underwater Easter egg hunt and is fun for all ages. AMENITIES and SPECIAL FEATURES Quality Kayaks available for Guest Use.
