This 3/2 single floor riverfront home is located in the Tampa, Florida community of Temple Terrace. Nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood canopied by live oaks, the back of the house has panoramic, long range views of a bend of the Hillsborough River. The opposite riverbank is an undeveloped cypress grove. The neighbors on either side are set back so you feel like it is just you and the river.
The home has an open layout with a large family room that showcases the view with ceiling-to-floor picture windows on three sides. There is another large room with river views that includes the kitchen with a built-in island on one side and an area for dining on the other. The master bedroom looks out on the river through sliding glass doors and has a recently renovated bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom. These areas comprise 1771 square feet of air-conditioned space.
There is also an 800 square foot covered, screened-in porch that connects to the family room and wraps around the back of the house. The space acts as a large extension of the interior living space. The porch stays comfortable with the help of the ceiling fans and constant shade.
From the comfort of the living room or the porch, you can enjoy the endless parade of birds drawn to this oasis. Step outside the porch and you can drop a line for the abundant large mouth bass or boat the upper Hillsborough River, one of Florida's finest paddling rivers.
At home you feel the tranquility of mother nature, but just out the front door, the conveniences and cultural attractions of the city await you. Temple Terrace offers a community recreation center (heated Olympic lap pool, gym, fitness classes, soft and hard tennis courts) and a country club with a beautiful historic 18 hole golf course.
The University of South Florida is just 13 minutes away and offers courses, lectures, theater and music productions, and NCAA sports programs.
