Escape to our peaceful lake-pond retreat minutes from Charlotte Airport, Carowinds and Eagle Chase golf course. Disk golf course only 8 miles away . Bring the whole family and experience the waterfowl, turtles, bass, pan fish, and all of the wildlife that’s here for your exploring. Enjoy the late nights at the fire pit on the water to wind down.
Just minutes away from antique stores, stop and go, restaurants and the like.
The Rock is designed with your family vacation in mind and stocked with the things you'll need for your stay whether you like cooking or just relaxing. We have a pool table in the second story loft area and a massive 60x14 porch facing the water.
We have a reading room with sliding glass doors facing the water. Oh ya and a peaceful yet productive work space area. Additionally there are 2 twin over full bunk beds in the loft area.
The Rock is home to unique and elegant outdoor environment that sets it apart. Including active wildlife, open green space and a beautiful reflective pond as the jewel in the crown.
This is a great place for out of town family to stay when you're attending the next nearby wedding venue.
Guest Access :
All of he home is accessible for use except two locked staff closets.

Interaction with guests :
We will be there to make sure everything is just right when you check in. We live on the other side of the water and are available in case you need any assistance during your stay. If you need something just give Pops a call and he will arrive on the mule.

We like to cook and believe we've provided everything you need to enjoy preparing meals for your family at The Rock. Find your favorite recipe with our high-speed Wi-Fi always available.
We also like to drink coffee therefore, you will find what you need. If there is anything that's not in place just call your neighbors on the other side of the water; We will be happy to lend you what we have.
Catch and release fishing is wonderful on the property, there is a lot of activity in the water. Managing the fishing for future guests is important to us. All caught fish must be released. if you plan to fish please read and understand the fishers prior to. If you walk around the pond until you see the sign that reads "Home of Pops and Susan." This is the boundary of guest access fishing.
Please no triple hooks, bobbers, or live bait, we ask that you use surface lures only.
