Superior location in downtown Gettysburg historic district. Located on a quiet street two blocks from Lincoln Square, you can watch the sunset over the battlefield from the back of this historic property. We offer private off-street parking for your car.
This house was built by Gettysburg town physician Dr. J.W.C. O'Neill, who had an extensive history during the battle. It was later used a photography studio by renowned Civil War battlefield photographer WIlliam H. Tipton.
The house is two blocks from downtown shops, restaurants, ghost and walking tours and events in the historic district. Half a mile to Gettysburg College and a mile and a half to the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor's Center.
When you are done exploring, let the Stratton House take care of you! Unique features include central air conditioning, high speed wireless internet, and a cable package featuring 150 Comcast stations and streaming capabilities. There is a large TV in the living room which also features a modern double reclining loveseat.
We provide comfortable bedding, extra pillows and plenty of towels. Enjoy meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. The fenced courtyard provides a seating area and gas grill.

We are only 10 miles from Ski Liberty for winter travelers who would like to ski or snow tube. We are only 50 miles from Lancaster Dutch Country, 50 miles to Hershey Park, 65 miles to Washington, DC; 60 miles to Baltimore, 54 miles BWI Airport and 62 miles to Dulles Airport.
You will have private access to the South side of the Stratton House, which has a living room, bedroom, dining area, full accessible bathroom and kitchen. There is another vacation rental unit on the North side of the house that is completely separate from this unit with a separate privacy fenced yard. The owners live in a third unit on the property that is also fully separate from your rental. One parking space is available for your use. If you need another parking space during your stay, please let us know before you arrive and we may be able to accommodate your request.
This is a very quiet church and residential neighborhood. We ask that you not hold parties, or make loud outside noise after 9 PM. Also, we request that there is no loud noise or music inside the residence after 10 PM. These rules are in place for the comfort and security of all guests who visit us.
There is no smoking or vaping inside the house at any time.
