Summary: Our stay at REM Rivergate was off to a good start with detailed messages from the team, inclusive of who to collect our access keys from, where to find free wifi, transportation and air-conditioning instructions. Upon opening the room door, we were horrified to say the least. There were bugs crawling on the floor and in the fridge, stains on the furniture upholstery, broken cabinets and doors, and the overall look was comparable to a budget student dorm-room. I told the staff of our disappointment and they were extremely sorry and immediately gave us a new room which was much nicer and made the stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. However, the bathroom door didn’t close which made for a small discomfort. The building is in a good location with amenities near-by. The pool is beautiful and has an amazing view however something that should have been included is that there are no towels provided for the pool, and to use the pool, your appartment host must meet you there and sign you in which was a bit strange.
