Regal Retreat is an oceanfront home which has several amenities that will guarantee a good time: a Theatre Room, a large private pool, a hot tub and access to the Buck Island community amenities. [Note: No dogs or other animals allowed in this home.]

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room spans the living, dining and kitchen areas with comfortable furniture and ample seating for family members. The Dining table seat 12 and the kitchen bar counter seats 5. The kitchen has gourmet, stainless steel appliances that include 2 wall ovens, 2 dishwashers and a beverage center. A half bath is located near the kitchen. The King Master Suite on this level has an office/sitting area with deck access. An elevator connects all levels of this home. [Note: Gas fireplaces in the home are not for guest use.]
MID LEVEL:
Three more Master Suites, two Kings and one Queen, are located on this level and all have deck access to the oceanfront side. Other bedrooms include one with 2 Twins and another with 2 Bunkbed Sets which share the hall bathroom (shower/tub combo). The first of two Laundry areas is located at the center of the floor. A large Lounge offers another area to relax and enjoy watching a movie. The hot tub is located on the oceanside mid-level deck.
GROUND LEVEL:
The seventh bedroom has a Queen bed and access to the Cabana Bathroom (has door to the exterior). A kitchenette has a full-size refrigerator and microwave and the Theatre room will be a favorite way to watch your favorite movies. The game area has a large flat-screen TV, more couches for relaxing and a Pool table. The large private, saltwater pool (12' x 28', pool heat available for an additional fee) offers more time to spend time outdoors and the semi-private beach boardwalk leads directly to the beach! There are 2 outdoor showers and a charcoal grill is available for easy meal preparation.
EXTRAS:
Located in the gated Buck Island neighborhood, the large community pool, tennis courts and children's playground are by the main entrance to this community. There is a lifeguard stand at this beach access during the summer months. The Buck Island Cabana Service is provided for guests each week from Memorial Day to Labor Day; this service includes 6 beach chairs and one umbrella which are left at the home on check-in day.

Summary: We loved this property in the gated neighborhood of Buck Island. 7 bedrooms. Kitchen has ice machine, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, and plenty of serving dishes for large family meals. Pool can be heated and, while we had trouble with the heater going out, the property management company was prompt in responding and sending the pool repair person. We’ve stayed at several VRBO rentals and really enjoy the places that provide a lot of amenities, like beach towels and chairs, a game room, plenty of cups and dishes, etc. Being that many Outer Banks rentals are full time rentals, you often need to bring at lot on your own: toilet paper, paper towel, soap, kitchen towels, beach towels, beach chairs. This property actually has 6 beach chairs and an umbrella set up for you daily at the beach by the community. Someone also took it the garbage bins on garbage day. Plenty of Tupperware and serving dishes. Theater was great for movie night for the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property.
