Positive: Location is convenient!
Negative: Initially the care taker wanted to retain the ID document till checkout, which is illegal. I told him he can take a copy of it or note down the details, but he has no authority to retain it and then he was silent on it. Obviously, people needs it with them while moving around, especially to visit Yala National Park. In Sri Lanka there were many instances of misuse of ID documents by criminals and there was a gov directive not to share even colored scanned ID documents with anyone except authorized gov legal enforcement authorities. Only legal enforcement / immigration authorities have the right to retain; that too under legal violations. So caretaker need to be trained in the limitations on their rights. And obviously owner has to take the blame. Bedsheets were given only on request. No toiletries were given, we managed as we usually carry with us. Care takers need to be trained to be polite and courteous to the customers. Once the owner improves the lapses, it will be a very good accommodation - no doubt on this.
Summary: With stated improvements it will be a good stay place.
