Positive: The house was the perfect layout for our family. There is a separate bedroom with living area down by the pool, one off the pool room and then three bedrooms in a 'family' wing and all bedrooms had their own bathroom. The weather did get really hot when we were there and the main living area stayed nice and cool. There is a terrace on the front of the house by the BBQ and an enclosed eating out area on the back of the house (which is a lovely place to eat). The host was very responsive and had extra pool umbrellas delivered to give extra shade by the pool. The kids loved the pool table which kept them busy in the evenings.
Negative: The house is old and that comes with lots of charm but does mean, for example, that the beds can be quite small for larger guests. There is a lovely view across the valley but this is spoilt by the view of the N222 below and there was quite a bit of noise from the road at night. There is not very much by way of kitchen equipment (e.g. no cheese grater or food processor) and the fridge is quite small for such a big group.
